Late Night Dramz Continues..

I can't seem to blog fast enough to keep up with all the updates and rumors over ChinGate, but according to the Daily Beast, Conan is leaving The Tonight Show with a huge payout and will be able to take his show to another network - despite the threats Jeff Zucker, otherwise known as Darth Vader/evil mastermind/most idiotic man in television who has no business running a network has made to say he is going to "ice" Coco and not allow him on TV for 3 years.

I've been tuning in to Conan's show the last few nights and true to form, he's been hilarious, smart and gracious about the whole thing - he even put an ad for his show on Craigslist. But he also just seems bewildered and sad that this is the way his "Tonight Show" dream has turned out, and resigned to the fact that is will be ending soon. Maybe as soon as January 22. I watched his final episodes of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" last summer and he was so emotional about what he had done there for 17 years, but excited to fulfill his dream of hosting the "Tonight Show," following in the footsteps of his idol, Johnny Carson, who I'm sure is rolling over in his grave right now. Leno on the other hand, showed no emotion and made it seem like he didn't care one bit that his hosting days were over..but of course he couldn't just end it graciously, he had to demand another show ill conceived prime time show, which is what caused this whole mess in the first place.

Leno's behavior and stupid, unfunny jokes throughout this whole thing just show what a greedy, selfish, fat little bastard he truly is - he doesn't deserve to be hosting anything, because He. Is. Not. Funny. Or. Talented. I don't know anyone who likes him, or watches him, and NBC is going to lose a lot of viewers in our target demo - 18-50 who all grew up with and absolutely adore the Cone Zone. I know I will never, ever watch an ep of Tonight Show w Jay Leno and plan to boycott NBC with very minor exceptions for The Office and 30 Rock. There's going to be a protest outside of Universal Studios in support for Conan today and prettymuch everyone on Facebook agrees that they should let Conan keep his 11:35 pm time slot and that Jay should just go away (even Rosie)..but sadly it doesn't seem like NBC cares one bit about what people want or what makes sense. I really hope Conan goes to FOX and crushes Leno in the ratings - he will have the support of every actor in Hollywood and everyone ages 18-75 with a sense of humor. Leno's audience is dying off quickly and he's going to fail miserably once again, so it will be interesting to see who they get to replace him in 2 years..uh.NBC..your other guys Fallon and Carson suck almost as bad as Leno, so good luck with that.

I am liking Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman a lot more these days - both are obvs on Team Conan and after Jimmy did his whole show the other night as Jay Leno - to perfection lame "headlines" and all, he blasted Leno on Leno's own show last night, which was awesome. He even said to Jay, "Conan and I have kids to take care of - you have cars and $800 million. Don't take Conan's show away." Leno has absolutely no sense of humor about the whole thing and was just awkward and uncomfy as per usual. When Conan would bring out the little midget in a convertible old car named "Little Jay" a few years ago, which was completely hilarious, Leno was not amused one bit..which shows he has no business in show business. Very sad.
