A potentially-inebriated gentleman reportedly entered a Boston Starbucks on St. Patrick’s Day and showered patrons with $100 in singles all while yelling “I’m rich, I’m rich,” then turned around and left.

If the secret millionaire’s motive was to watch people go nut for dollars, the plan apparently failed: “Nobody scrambled for the money like you would think you would,” a customer told Fox25 News. “I think we were all looking at it wondering who’s going to make the first move.”

The cash was eventually collected by a Starbucks employee, and will be donated to help earthquake relief efforts in Japan.
