Currently Getting Me Through The Snowstorm: May on the Bay

Well, it's snowing. Again. Nobody who lives in MN should really be surprised..I've lived here since 2004 and it seems like every year around this time, there's a large and annoying snowstorm that nobody was expecting. Even though it happens every year. We are normally in South Beach, FL around this time and leave the palm trees and warm water to discover a white covered slushy snow cone of a state. So I've learned to wait until at least April to even think spring might be on its way. A few things are getting me through this spring storm though..

1. Drinking tea, listening to classical music and working in my PJs and robe, not planning to go anywhere all day except to walk across the street to meet friends for dinner at Bar La Grassa tonight. Yummo.

2. Hosting our season ticket holder Twins Draft pick party tomorrow night. Despite the snow, we'll be grilling up some brats, drinking beers and choosing our games for the much sunnier, warm summer days ahead. Outdoor baseball seems impossible right now, but before we know it we'll be there.

3. Going to the new Heidi's this Friday with our awesome friends K & M who we don't see often enough. I never got to try the old Heidi's before it burned down, so am double looking forward to it.

4. Hanging with some of closest friends B & T Saturday night, always the time, then heading to the Lounge for a friend's bday party.

5. A very busy April - lots of fashion events during MN Spring Fashion Week, the show with Diddy and hopefully some lovely spring weather. I love walking, biking or driving the baby bug with the top down checking out all the pink and green buds along River Road and plan to do that often.

6. May on the Bay. We are heading back to the Bay Area for El Jefe's job for all of May and possibly into June..booking a sweet barn sublet in Mill Valley, one of the cutest towns anywhere. So looking forward to walking Gus around Mill Valley, Sausalito, Tiburon, taking the ferry into SF to see friends and eat yummy food, going on hikes in Muir Woods, spending weekends in Monterey, wine tasting in Napa, Russian River, etc. Just the thought of it is helping me get through these last snowy/freezing days.
