Stefani Joanne Germanotta < Lady Gaga

The current issue of NY Magazine features an interesting 8-page spread on Lady Gaga and how she became the biggest pop star in the world. It's not surprising to me that she became an internationally revered superstar by creating catchy dance music, since the rest of the world loves a good dance track. Americans just have horrible taste in music and still gobble up repetitive voice box shit by T-Pain that they hear on annoying Clear Channel stations, but they're slowly learning to appreciate dance music, which is sold through Lady Gaga as pop. PS its still dance music - not "Techno" as so many idiots call it..if record labels market dance music as "pop" it sells better than if they sell it as dance even though its still dance music..strange but true. I don't love all of her songs but like a lot of them and generally respect what she's doing, her creative fashion choices, etc - and if she keeps hiring my friend Kaskade - who she performed with in Ibiza last summer - to remix her songs and make them 100000000 times better like he did with "Telephone," I'll stay gaga for Lady G.
