THE CRYSTAL BALL WILL RING IN 2010 IN-STYLE

Fifth-Annual New Year’s Event At International Market Square To Feature The Twin Cities’ Premiere Fashion & Entertainment

Fashion Show Hosted by Project Runway’s Ra’mon Lawrence-Coleman and Christopher Straub

December 17, 2009 – Minneapolis, MN – When the ball drops in the Big Apple, the hottest party in Minneapolis will just be getting underway, as the Twin Cities top promoters, fashionistas, bands and DJ's join forces to throw a New Year’s Eve event not to be missed.

The Crystal Ball has grown exponentially since its inception, ringing in past New Year's with as many as 1,500 guests. The event will once again return to The International Market Square and is on par to be the biggest one yet. Whether mingling at one of 20 bars, relaxing with bottle service in the Stoli Elit’ Lounge, or hitting either of the spacious dance floors in the two rooms of music, The Crystal Ball will have plenty of options for guests to create their own perfect New Year's experience.

Fresh off the release of their new CD, this year’s event will feature none other than Minneapolis favorite, The New Congress, plus DJ Tink, Benjamin Michaels, and DJ Stretch in the main room playing the latest and greatest soul, funk, top-40, and hip hop. The reSOULution lounge will carry on the house music tradition previously found at the Millennium Hotel and feature DJ’s Alex Jarvis, Big Mama J, Bryan Gerrard, Chico Brown, J Matthews and Nate Laurence of Hot Dish, and Patrick James spinning deep and soulful tunes.

Bringing style to the stage is the 30-minute high-energy fashion show produced by Ignite Models, Inc. (www.ignitemodelsinc.com). Ignite combines only the very best in fashion, art and music through signature events such as ENVISION and FAME, and on New Year’s Eve these lovely ladies will pull out all of the stops. The Fashion Show will be hosted by very special guests, Ra’mon Lawrence-Coleman and Christopher Straub, two local designers who recently made Minnesota proud on Project Runway. The beautiful Ignite Models will kick off the evening festivities by showcasing holiday pieces from Lawrence-Coleman and Straub, plus collections from eight local designers and boutiques including OPM Boutique, Drama, V State, Amanda Christine, kjurek couture, Parc Boutique, and PFT Couture. Stylists from Rocco Altobelli will work their hair and makeup magic to bring the runway show to life.

The event is open to those aged 21 and older, and guests always dress to impress. Three ticket options are available including General Admission, VIP and Bottle Service with prices starting at only $35.00 (for a limited time). Pre-sale tickets are conveniently located at local shops VState, OPM Boutique, Parc Boutique, Rocco Altobelli (IDS location only) and Drama. Tickets can also be purchased online at http://www.crystalball.vitalculture.com or at the door the night of the event. Information on bottle service is available by emailing eric@nyempls.com. Guests are strongly encouraged to make ticket arrangements in advance to guarantee admission.

Perhaps most importantly, guests of The Crystal Ball can play it safe by booking a room at The Millennium Hotel (Minneapolis) for a special rate of only $119.00. A complimentary shuttle will run to and from International Market Square during the event hours. Hotel rooms may be booked directly through the hotel by calling 612-332-6000 and referencing The Crystal Ball.
