(Minneapolis, MN) - January 25, 2012 - Z Systems and Channel Z are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 4th Annual Z-Fest Film Festival. Some of Minnesota's most innovative independent filmmakers will participate in Z-Fest — a festival that's open to all filmmakers who create and submit a 7-minute film and 30-second trailer. The first festival screenings will take place on Wednesday, March 6th and Thursday, March 7th at the Riverview Theater in Minneapolis and there will be After Parties in the lobby lounge after each screening. Then on Thursday, March 14th, 2013 the top 10 selections will be shown at the "Best of Fest" screening at the Theatres at Mall of America. There, winners will be announced, prizes handed out and then all participants will be celebrated at the After-Party in the Star Bar.
"Z-Fest is bigger than ever, and we are very excited to be celebrating our fourth year, working with so many talented Minnesota filmmakers. These shorts are absolutely amazing and we want to share them with everyone." said Adam Colt, Z-Fest Festival Director.
Trailers will be up online and Z-Fest friends and followers can vote for their favorite movies before the official screenings. After filmmakers submit their films, Z-Fest organizers immediately start getting them ready for their big screen, high-definition debut. The top filmmakers will choose from prizes such as $1000, $500, Avid Media Composer ($2500 value) or Adobe Production Premium CS6 Suite ($1639 value.) Tickets for the screenings at Riverview Theater on March 6th and 7th are $10 each, available at the door on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited. The film screenings will begin at 7:00 pm Tickets for the "Best of Fest" screening at Theatres at Mall of America on March 14th are $10 for general admission, $15 for VIP and include entrance to the after-party in the Star Bar at 9:15 pm. VIP and Lobby Lounge are 21+ only.Tickets for "Best of Fest" are available at www.z-fest.com, in person at Z Systems or at the theater.

Wednesday, March 6: "Screening Films 1-20" at the Riverview Theater, 7:00 pm with Afterparty starting at 9:45 pm
Thursday, March 7: "Screening Films 21-40" at the River View Theater 7:00 pm with Afterparty starting at 9:45 pm
Thursday, March 14: "Best of" Screening at the Mall Of America 7:00 pm with Awards show at 8:30 pm and Afterparty in the Star Bar starting at 9:15 pm
