The weather outside is frightful but our swanky holiday cocktail and fashion event will be oh-so delightful. VIP Tix are completely sold out and General Admission Tix are selling fast. They'll be available online HERE until 4:30 pm today. After that we'll sell tix at the door until we hit capacity. The event starts at 7:30 pm and the fashion show will be at 8:30 pm. See you there. Make sure you take advantage of the W hotel's valet parking..heels and snow don't mix.

If we had our choice between a posh holiday season filled with high fashion, fancy cocktails, and smashing conversation or a December loaded with ugly sweaters, weird Jell-O desserts, and awkward relatives, we know which one we would choose. This Wednesday, fashionistas can party with those who appreciate the more glamorous side of this time of year. Stores and designers flashing their holiday threads include high-end clothes peddler Bumbershute, vintage-inspired menswear by Russell Bourrienne, local fashion designers from the Cliché store, and Italian fashion boutique Il Vostro, among others. Guests can sample cocktails while taking mental notes on what they want to wear this season (special pomegranate liqueur drinks are featured on the menu tonight). A holiday fashion show

No ugly Christmas sweaters allowed. The W Hotel is hosting a fashion show on Wednesday called "'Tis the Season to Glitz and Glam 2009." The show, sponsored by Vimlab and Ignite Models, will feature special guest Christopher Straub (of "Project Runway"), plus Il Vostro, MN Fashion Boutique, Cliché, Bumbershute, Elsworth and Russell Bourrienne. Cocktails will be served by PAMA Liqueur. Straub, of Shakopee, came in fifth in the last season of "Project Runway."

When you’re not enjoying the view, meet and mingle with Christopher Straub, a Shakopee native and Project Runway Season 6 alum! Maybe even invite him for a dance to the sweet beats of DJ Shiek.
