(Minneapolis, MN - March 18, 2013) – The sexiest party of spring may also prove to be the brightest, as this year’s 6th annual ARENA BIKINI gets a NEON GLAM makeover. Twin Cities Fashionistas, party-goers and supporters of the arts will all descend on Calhoun Beach Club to kick off bikini-season with a NEON GLAM preview of the latest swimwear designs. ARENA BIKINI // NEON GLAM will take place on Friday, April 26th at the Calhoub Beach Club and will feature a high-energy runway show interspersed with modern dance performances by ARENA Dancers, a silent auction and afterparty. VIP guests will be treated to front row seats to the runway, NEON cocktails and a VIP lounge decked out in NEON GLAM.
Now in its 6th year, ARENA BIKINI is a staple of the Twin Cities Spring fashion scene. As in years past, models will strut down the runway to debut the season’s most spectacular new bikinis and beachwear by local designers. Featured designers include locals Richard Beckel, Adrienne Yancy, Jay Nelson, Anita Jensen,Raquel Redmond, Max Lohrbach and Marissa Bridges. Local boutiques MartinPatrick3, Nani Nalu and Rainbow Road will also highlight the latest swimwear and accessories. Designer Raquel Redmond is designing new fashions to be featured as part of the Arena Dance performance.
Just in time to usher in the much-anticipated swimsuit season, this year’s Arena Bikini promises to leave the Twin Cities nightlife awash in NEON GLAM – all for a good cause. The event will feature the choreography by ARENA DANCES Artistic Director Mathew Janczewski. DJ Jezus Juice and DJ Stragelove will provide the music and keep NEON GLAM grooves going throughout the evening and into the afterparty.
ARENA BIKINI// NEON GLAM will take place from 8:00 pm - 1:00 am and feature appetizers, signature drinks and a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting Mathew Jancewski’s ARENA DANCES. The Calhoun Beach Club is located a 2925 Dean Parkway in Minneapolis, MN 55416.

About ARENA DANCES
ARENA DANCES is one of the Twin Cities’ premiere dance companies. In 2013/14 ARENA DANCES will introduce The Main Street Project, A full- length performance that moves between physical and digital space to explore how technology alters our personal connections and changes the face of small town America. Within the piece, electro/techno/pop music combines with folk-inspired songs to illuminate themes of isolation and belonging, and filmed interviews with everyday people from multiple communities bridge the gap between today and yesterday. The Main Street Project combines explosive movement with intimate narrative to ask the question, “Does Main Street still exist?”
