WelcomeToTheFuture :|

While in Las Vegas, we found ourselves awake early one morning - probably because we have a 5-month-old baby and we had spent the previous day drinking by the pool in the desert sun thus making us go to sleep at 9:30 pm - so we decided to walk over to City Center to grab a coffee and check it out. Once we figured out how to get in there - basically by entering the new Aria Hotel that is super modern and gorgeous, I busted out the camera and started snapping away. Tucked between The Bellagio and a CVS, across from the sad looking Polo hotel and a seedy strip mall, this little area suddenly transports you into the movie "Back To the Future 2." It totally reminded me of the 80s vision of what the future cities will be like, without all the flying mobiles. It looks a little strange stuffed into the random assortment of a pyramid, castles, Italian Riviera, Eiffel Tower, pirate boat, forum, waterfalls, fountains and Venetian canals that make up the Vegas strip, but then again, that's Vegas, baby. City Center LVNV is well designed modern architecture at its finest, and I would gladly let them teleport the entire thing to land directly on Block E, Mpls.
