Well, dear readers, I am finally back from our 8 day adventure in the Pacific Northwest, and ready to blog about it. This was definitely one of the best trips Jeff and I have taken - and we've taken a lot of fabulous trips. We managed to spend just enough time in each city, laugh our arses off with hilarious friends we hadn't seen in far too long, sample culinary delights at some truly amazing restaurants, sip incredible Pinot Noir while wine tasting in the Willamette Valley, hang out in the hippest neighborhood in Vancouver known as "little Soho," hike through natural wonders, get up close and personal with beluga whales and grizzly bears and visit some amazingly beautiful places in all three cities. And we and didn't have to worry about driving, because we let Amtrak Cascades get us where we needed to go. I would highly recommend taking the train if you are thinking about embarking on this tour - sipping wine while watching the world go by along the Puget Sound is the best way to roll, literally. I'll post some of my favorite restaurants, bars, wineries, gardens, parks and hikes in Portland, Seattle and Vancouver soon..stay tuned.
