54 Mint - Some of the best Italian I've had in SF, or anywhere, really. Very cool space too, its new, and I love it.
Bocanova - Pan-American Tapas in Jack London Square just opened by one of the original chefs at Oliveto, a restaurant the PR firm I worked at represented. We went there Saturday with our besties who currently live in Boston but will hopefully be moving back where they belong - the mini-apple soon - and another hilarious couple we love who moved back out to the Bay Area last year and have an amazing house in the hills that we go to see for the first time. One of our friend's is a wine rep and he brought the most incredible bottle of French champagne I've ever had..seriously, amazing. Probably my favorite part of the meal, even though the food was delish.
Betelnut - my favorite restarant in SF, located on Union St in the Marina. I always get the same thing - szechuan green beans, pork ribs with the most addicting sauce ever, the shrimp and pork dumplings with a ginger vinegar and jasmine rice. Best. Meal. Ever. I make everyone who visits us in SF try this place, and no one has ever left disappointed. Sunday afternoon after a few hours of house music on the bay at 2nd Sunday's party at Mission Rock Cafe, it started to rain, so we grabbed the NYT and headed to a yummy late lunch/early dinner, followed by a screening of Extract, which was awesome. A perfect rainy Sunday night.
