Terrible Tuesday TV

After a super fun but exhausting week straight of dinners/drinks out with hilarious friends every night, last night I finally bought some groceries and we cooked up a yummy Mexican feast of fake meat crispy tacos (much better than ground beef) and burritos. Checking out the options for TV shows was a lot less appetizing: "American Idol," "Lost" or "The Biggest Loser." I can't think of three shows I'd enjoy watching less, which I think somehow makes me UnAmerican or something..since these shows are all ridiculously popular thanks to "middle-America." I tried watching "Lost" and just can't get into it..have always hated "American Idol" with a passion and can't even fathom the idea of watching gross fatties stuffed into spandex jiggling their way through obstacle courses, then hopping aboard a giant scale to further embarrass themselves on national television. Lucky for me and a lot of 13-year-old girls, the CW is bringing back new eps of "90210" and "Melrose Place" next Tuesday, after a long awaited "Gossip Girl" return Monday night. Finally.
Luckily we have many other options available at our fingertips with cable, on-demand and the Roku..so decided to watch "Frost/Nixon" on HBO on Demand and it was awesome. I didn't really know much about these interviews between David Frost and Richard Nixon, but they were quite interesting. Very well acted by all involved. And I knew Nixon lived in The OC but didn't realize his "Western White House" was in San Clemente, one of my favorite beachside communities - probably the only place I'd consider living if we ever move back there..perhaps we'll slip right into Tricky Dick's old digs:
