(Minneapolis, MN - February 10, 2011) - When the snow finally melts and flowers start to bloom, kick off MN Spring Fashion Week in style at ENVISION: Artopia Spring 2011, presented by Ignite Models Inc, V2 Nightlife, Futuretime Productions and City Pages. The Twin Cities' largest fashion event, ENVISION: Artopia Spring 2011 will celebrate the best and brightest in local fashion, art and music. ENVISION: Artopia Spring 2011 will take place on Saturday, April 9th in the 5th floor ballroom of the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
This will be the 8th ENVISION fashion show, which has quickly gained a reputation as the hippest seen-and-be-seen event to kick off MN Fashion Week each year during spring and fall - the essential fashion seasons. More than 1000 of the Twin Cities’ most glamorous fashionistas, glitterati, urban hipsters and all around trend setters will gather in the ballroom of the Graves 601 to view the latest vibrant spring looks from 16 of the Twin Cities best designers and boutiques.
Designers who will be showing their creations on the runway include: Amanda Christine, Arwyn Birch, Carmichael Claith, Cece Vang, Dawson, Jenny Carle, Kelly Ver Duin, Kjurek, Niki English, Russell Bourrienne, Sydney Ilton and YQY by vivian and Boutiques: Cliché, Drama, Karma, Local Motion and OPM Boutique. Beautiful Ignite Models will showcase these designer's fresh spring looks during two high-energy fashion shows, sashaying down the runway to dance beats by DJ Shiek. Creative hair stylists and make-up artists Rocco Altobelli Salon and Day Spa will be doing all hair and make-up for the models.
VIP guests will enjoy a sampling of spirits and hors d'oeuvres from Twin Cities restaurants from 8:00 - 9:00 pm. At 9:00 pm doors will open for general admission. The runway show will be in two parts – the first at 10:00 pm and the second at 11:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction and various live art elements taking place for guests to enjoy throughout the evening, including an art exhibition and a collaborative live painting created by local artists in the art gallery.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will benefit The Young Survival Coalition, the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer.
General Admission tickets will be $20 in advance and day of show before 4:00 pm, $25 after. VIP seats will be $50 for reserve seating and include the food and wine sampling starting at 8:00 pm. The Young Survival Coalition (YSC) is the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer.
