It felt like summertime last night, warm, breezy and humid - prettymuch perfection, especially for April 1. After a late afternoon jaunt in the baby bug with the roof down to satisfy my cravings at Sebastian Joe's (yes I'm a 9 months prego lady cliche - can't stop eating ice cream) I read my book in the chaise lounge on the roof deck for a bit but wanted to get out and walk around the neighborhood since we'd also spent Wednesday night grilling and chilling on our deck. El Jefe and I took a nice little stroll through the hood to Toast Wine Bar and sat outside in the glow of the lights at Target Field dining on salad, pizzas and a little sauv blanc. We hadn't been there in a while but were happy to be back..its a great place to walk to in the hood - and I love that they'll keep bringing tables outside to accommodate everyone who wants to dine al fresco on warm nights. The owner said they're adding more beers to the list and possibly getting a full liquor license to serve cocktails for the Ballpark crowd - if the sports fans can find it, which remains to be seen. Either way, I'm glad its our neighborhood wine bar. We plan to put the baby in the stroller and wheel our little family over there many nights this summer for pizza and vino under the stars..especially for their happy hour Tuesday - Sunday from 5-6 pm.
I had Sebastian Joes ice cream for the first time the other night (Wednesday also!). Those chocolate covered cones are great.
