Spring Is In The Air

Inside the downtown Minneapolis Macy's at least..really wish it could look like this outside already as well. Friday afternoon I found myself downtown in between a Dr. appt and meeting friends at Britt's, so I got myself a DQ chocolate dipped cone like any respectable prego lady would do, and headed up to the 8th floor of Macy's to check out their Annual Spring Flower Show that runs though April 11th. I had never gone to one before..was pretty impressed with the whimsical forests, hot air balloons, butterflies and lots of colorful spring blooms. Can't wait to get some of those colorful blooms up on my roof deck, which my designer at Lofty Gardens says can happen after mid-April.

It's also Bonus Time at Clinique right now at Macy's stores and I can't seem to resist free make-up with purchase, so I decided to pick up a new spring lipstick and blush. Unfortunately the awkward, pushy old bat who was helping me totally screwed up and gave me the wrong lipstick color, after I had tried several on and told her exactly which one I wanted. And of course I didn't realize until I got home. Attn Business Owners: If your workers are too old to properly read small print on lipstick that says what color it is, perhaps they shouldn't work at your store. Or anywhere. Now I have to haul my 4-days-and-counting overdue arse back downtown to Macy's to get the right color, which is highly annoying. Thanks, oldentimer.
