Calling all cheapskates: According to City Pages, "It won't ever be confused with gourmet food, but if you're looking for a perfectly acceptable, family-friendly pasta dinner, Old Spaghetti Factory will be practically giving them away next Tuesday and Wednesday. To celebrate its 41st anniversary, the restaurant chain will take 41 percent off the price of its spaghetti dinners January 12 and 13, which means a three-course meal of salad, bread, entrée, beverage, and dessert will go for about 5 bucks, with a kid's meal under $3! The only Minnesota location is off Washington Avenue in downtown Minneapolis. They won't be taking reservations, so expect a crowd."
I personally love the spag factory..used to hit up the one in Newport Beach with my OC bros and hos all the time - its literally across the street from the beach and near lots of brah hang outs such as "Sharkys." This $5 thing is definitely a good deal but since I'll be out of town next week, there will be massive crowds and a normal 3 course dinner is $8, I'm thinking I might need to head there tonight for a cheap date night with El Jefe. Salad with pesto, bread with garlic butter and spaghetti with mizithra cheese, topped off by spumoni and coffee. Yes please. I kind of forget its located about 12 blocks from my loft - as is The Depot for ice skating. Which will be a perfectly convenient little family fun night for our urban baby when he's old enough.
