THE AEGIS FOUNDATION'S 3rd ANNUAL TWIN CITIES HIGH HEEL DASH 2012

WHAT:
Talented Twin Cities men and women who have mastered running in heels will compete against each other in several 25-yard dashes wearing high heels 3 inches+ along Target Plaza on Nicolett Mall. Contestants will get their friends, families and co-workers involved by raising money in advance to watch them outrageously dash in heels for a great cause - all proceeds will benefit Project Healthy Smile who work to bring oral health education and dental supplies to underprivileged children globally.
Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of $250 to dash (tax deductible.) Contestants will receive an official High Heel Dash T-shirt and bib, along with a 50 percent discount on a 30-minute massage or pedicure from Jungle Red Salon.
Hosted by The CW's Carly Aplin and featuring a dance party in the street with DJ Bob of Party Unit, the festivities will begin at 4:00 pm with cocktails and snacks at Masa. The High Heel Dash will start at 6:30 pm. And new this year - the High Heel Walk Off - where contestants can strut their stuff on the runway and showcase their most fabulous shoes. The High Heel Walk Off will kick off immediately following the final heat in the High Heel Dash. The winner will be chosen by crowd applause.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place dashers for both Men and Women and there will be a spectacular Grand prize to the highest fundraiser.

WHY:
Proceeds benefit Aegis Foundation and Project Healthy Smile. Aegis Foundation, Inc. is an ALL volunteer non-profit (501c3) that raises money for local youth organizations, everything from arts, education, homelessness, hunger, mental & physical health and other youth related concerns. Each event we give back 100% to help others sustain their community responsibilities. This year’s beneficiary is Project Healthy Smile, www.projecthealthysmile.org. REGISTRATION EVENT:
Sunday, July 29th at Ridgedale Center, Aegis Foundation reps will be on hand to sign people up for the dash from 12:00 - 4:00 pm, and everyone who registers will receive a Ridgedale Center Swag Bag full of free merchandise, gift cards, special/limited discount offers etc. Aerosoles Shoes will present a "Shoe Show" at 2:00 pm.
