Minnehaha Falls: Now With Water
Yesterday was another gorgeous, sunny almost-spring day and I spent most of it reading on the roof deck, where it felt much warmer than 55 degrees. We finally headed out for a long walk around 4 pm and wound up on our favorite trail along River Road. We kept on walking until we arrived at Minnehaha Falls, where I got these cool pics of snow, icicles and the falls, now with actual water. The weather in 2009 was so strange that there was barely any water in the creek, thus no water for the waterfall. Which is sad because in the spring of 2007 we got an adventurous crew together and kayaked Minnehaha Creek from Edina to Lake Nokomis - it was an awesome little urban adventure, rowing through the cities and people's backyards. Hopefully we get enough rain this year to keep the falls going, cuz they are pretty sweet. And I'd like to kayak the creek again.
