"CLASS OF '85"

WHAT:
Remember your favorite movies from the 80’s? "The Breakfast Club?" "Pretty in Pink?" "Sixteen Candles?" COLLIDE Theatrical will transport you back to a time where neon reigned supreme with the debut of their high-energy, completely original dance production “Class of’85”…where the secrets hidden behind high school stereotypes are unmasked and the fight to win Prom King and Queen is derailed, with a little help from the live audience.
Choreographed and Directed by COLLIDE Artistic Director Regina Peluso, the show features eight professional dancers, two vocalists and a four-piece live band.
Each production will also feature a complimentary bar hosted by Anheuser- Busch throughout the evening.
80’s costumes are encouraged but not required for attendees - there will be a Best Dressed Audience Member Award given every night, an 80s dance party at intermission and much more.
The Opening Night Celebration on Friday, October 10th will feature Red Carpet Photos and Glam Blushing where make-up artists will give guests a totally radical 80s look.

ABOUT COLLIDE THEATRICAL:
COLLIDE is a performing arts company dedicated to creating new works that are rooted in classical Musical Theater Jazz Dance and inspired by the influences of Jerome Robbins and Bob Fosse. We bring together Twin Cities dancers, musicians, vocalists, actors, spoken word artists, playwrights, choreographers and directors to create original Broadway-style theatrical works. Our mission is to collaborate with artists of different genres in the creation of original, Broadway-style jazz dance musicals in an effort to revive a uniquely American art form.
Regina Peluso is the creative mind behind COLLIDE, a theatrical jazz dance company focused on delivering original narrative performances through dance, vocals, and live music. A Twin Cities native, Regina recently returned to Minnesota after a successful 10-year theatrical dance career in the New York and Los Angeles performing arts communities. Regina has worked with some of the industry's most reputable choreographers, actors and teachers. Regina is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory of Music with a BFA in Musical Theater and minor in Dance. She also holds a certificate from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
