(Minneapolis, MN - September 7, 2011) - As the leaves turn red and gold and a chill fills the air, prepare for autumn in style at ENVISION: Artopia Fall 2011, presented by Ignite Models Inc, V2 Nightlife, Futuretime Productions and City Pages. The largest celebration of fashion, art and music in the Twin Cities attended by more than a thousand fashion enthusiasts bi-annually, ENVISION: Artopia Fall 2011 will be a whimsical evening and unforgettable event. ENVISION: Artopia Fall 2011 will take place on Friday, September 16th in the 5th floor ballroom of the Graves 601 Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.
This will be the 9th ENVISION event. Designers who will be showing their creations on the runway during the two high-impact ENVISION fashion shows this Fall include: Amanda Christine, Arwyn Birch, Caroline Hayden, Gina Marie Vintage, Kathryn V., Kelly Ver Duin and yqy by vivian and boutiques Cliché, Drama, Karma Boutique, Local Motion and OPM Boutique.
Also, brand new to the event this year will be the vitaminwater zero™ Designer Challenge. Three talented Twin Cities designers: Jenny Carle, Sarah Holm and Project Runway alum Christopher Straub have been commissioned to each make one garment inspired by the flavors of vitaminwater zero™. Each designer was provided a minimal budget to create their designs. Their pieces will be showcased in the foyer and on the runway throughout the evening. Jevne (www.djjevne.com) will spin a mix of dance beats and play live bass during the runway shows featuring gorgeous Ignite models. Creative hair stylists and make-up artists from Rocco Altobelli Salon and Day Spa will provide hair styling and make-up for the models. Wardrobe Styling will be provided by Secrets Fashion Agency.
VIP guests will enjoy a sampling of spirits and hors d'oeuvres from fabulous Twin Cities restaurants including Barbette, Lotus, and Aji Japanese from 8:00 - 9:00 pm. At 9:00 pm, doors will open for general admission. The runway show will be in two parts – the first at 10:00 pm and the second at 11:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction and various live art elements taking place for guests to enjoy throughout the evening, including an art exhibition and a collaborative live painting created by local artists Brandon Regner, Allan Salmi and Robert Wayne in the art gallery. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will benefit The Young Survival Coalition, the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer. Through action, advocacy and awareness, the YSC seeks to educate the medical, research, breast cancer and legislative communities and to persuade them to address breast cancer in women 40 and under.
