Tap Project Minneapolis Roundtable with Mayor R.T. Rybak
I got to meet Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak this morning at a Tap Project Minneapolis Roundtable to discuss World Water Week, coming up March 22-29. He declared March 22 World Water Day and March 22-29 World Water Week. Representatives from Azia Restaurant and Anemone Sushi & Oyster Bar, Common Grounds, Manny's and A La Salsa attended and talked about why they are taking part of the Tap Project Minneapolis. Its really cool that this project started in NYC just two years ago, and now it is a national campaign that is taking place in many cities across the US. It's really a simple way to raise a lot of money to provide clean water to children around the world. We take so many things for granted in America and I'm happy I can devote some time to this cause. Make sure you check out the Minneapolis restaurants who are participating next week during World Water Week at http://www.tapprojectmpls.org, and make a donation to UNICEF for the tap water you usually get for free.
