The Snonami Is On Its Merry Way
Coming from SoCal where its prettymuch 75 and sunny all the time, I always find it funny how dramatic people are about impending "snownamis," or "snowgasms," or "snowmaggedons" with every tweet hash tagged with "blizzardpeople" or something with the word "snow" in it. Jefe's mom called to warn him of the impending storm since we "don't watch the local news" (cuz its too horrendously awfu to watchl and we have weather.com). I went to Lund's and Surdyk's earlier to stock up on food and vino and found most of the Twin Cities doing the same..I guess some others have copied my ingenious plan for dealing with snowstorms: staying inside my cozy home and not attempting to go anywhere. We have a few holiday parties to hop around to tonight but plan to be back home, cozy in the loft by midnight, before the first snowflakes fall. And I most likely won't leave again til Sunday night when I have plans to catch up with a friend over Thai food in St. Paul and then drinks and dessert in the lounge by the fireplace at WA Frost..apparently my go-to place when there is a lot of snow on the ground. 12-16 inches if the predictions are correct. Be safe this weekend, enjoy watching the snowflakes fall and feel free to copy my plan of staying inside, cooking, reading, watching movies, playing Christmas music on the piano, making a fire, snuggling w hubby & baby, etc. Just don't drive in this shiz.
