I cannot seem to resist anything with a combo of sea salt, caramel and/or chocolate. The salted caramel ice cream at Chambers Kitchen was a little slice of heaven. I've even thrown my principles to the wind and gone to Starbucks a couple of times for a 1/2 coffee, 1/2 salted caramel hot chocolate. I had to take a shower afterward, but they were both delish.
Then I was in Napa before Thanksgiving, wine tasting with some friends from MN who just moved out there, and we went to a place to grab some bread, cheese, a bottle of vino and have a picnic outside. They had the salty dog chocolate bar and my friend was smart enough to grab one which we enjoyed with our Pinot Noir post haste. Then last week, I found them for sale for $5 at Lund's - B.T. McElrath is based in MN, which I knew because I had porked down many up their delectable chocolates when I created VimLab Lounges for the Twin Cities Chocolate Extravaganza and The Affair. Especially last year when I was prego and their booth was right across from my lounge. Um..Yummo. I love these seasonal raspberry filled truffles as well..didn't realize they are about $2.00 each until I saw them for sale at Lund's. I've probably eaten about $200 worth at said events and in gift bags, etc. They are worth every penny though, and a great idea for holiday gifts.
