North Loop Love:

Friday night we headed out for a late afternoon stroll before it got dark with no real plan in sight and the weather was so nice we just kept walking..and walking. Down River Road, across the Stonearch Bridge, over to Whitey's for dinner and snakebites (my new fave: Guiness or Boddingtons + Crispin Cider = Yumtown) by the fireplace where Gus enjoyed gumming some canteloupe for the first time, then back over the river to our neighborhood for a glass of Malbec at Bev's Wine Bar before heading home. Saturday morning, Jeff golfed with some of his boyzz and I grabbed coffee and met my bestie and her two adorbz little girls at the fancy new playground along River Road that Gus and I frequent just about every day. Then met up with Jefe and another friend at Bunker's and discovered they have delicious, $2.50 bloody marys on happy hour Saturday afternoons and that they have pretty great burgers and bar food available as well. I heart my hood - the only time I left all weekend was to work out/swim/hot tub/steam at the Calhoun Beach Club, which I also love. But I can't imagine living anywhere other than the North Loop right now, its the best place to be, and getting better all the time.
