LOVE This Movie.

Got the DVD on Netflix and watched "Away We Go" last night - really enjoyed it, for a few reasons..

1. The basic plot is that a couple in their early 30s are expecting their first baby and decide to visit a few different cities where they have friends or family to see where they want to settle down and raise their baby. Somewhat fitting for our current sitch with our first baby on the way, although Jefe and I are lucky enough to own a loft and be settled in a fab city we love, with amazing friends and family all around. And a plan to visit my family in Cali as much as possible, with at least a year living there so I can show him how to build sandcastles and get a yearly pass for Disneyland - the important things in life.

2. It was written by Dave Eggers and his wife. I read his book A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and loved it, so I'm not surprised I loved this movie as well.

3. The cast is surprising and awesome: John Krasinski, Maya Rudolph, Allison Janney, Catherine O'Hara, Jeff Daniels, Paul Schneider, Carmen Ejogo, Chris Messina, Melanie Lynskey, Josh Hamilton, Jim Gaffigan, and Maggie Gyllenhaal - and every one of them plays their part to perfection.
