According to the City Pages Hot Dish blog, Peace Coffee will open their first cafe this Saturday. There's an entire posting about it, but they forgot to list an address or even mention which neighborhood its in, so I had to do some research to learn its located in Longfellow at 3262 Minnehaha Ave. It looks cool from the photo and I like the sound of this since I'm always on the look-out for cozy coffeeshops that are not corporate, sterile Starbucks:
"Exposed brick walls, cement floors and an open ceiling highlighting wooden beams give the shop an hint of an industrial feel, while re-used tile floors, colorful walls and a hodge podge of furniture found in Peace Coffee employee's basements and Craigslist offers a homey vibe. Wooden benches and a wooded table made from reclaimed material by a local artist add more warmth to the space."
